Our data is fuelled by our survey technology, which allows us to issue thousands of surveys daily across hundreds of websites.

The Narratiive survey collects anonymous demographic and psychographic survey responses, which are used to better understand the profile of website visitors.

Each respondent's demographic profile is saved as data on a browser cookie, meaning that they can be recognised every time they visit a Narratiive tagged site.

Will surveys appear on my website?

Surveys appear on all websites tagged with the Narratiive tracking code.  Enterprise customers may opt to turn off surveys.

What does the survey look like on my website?

A survey invitation appears unobtrusively in the bottom right corner of the screen, for a few seconds, before disappearing.

If a visitor accepts the survey invitation, a survey box will launch over the top of the current page.

What questions does the survey ask?

The survey asks approximately 10 – 15 standard regional demographic questions to collect information such as age, gender, income and profession. Occasionally additional questions are added to the standard survey to assist with other research projects.

How many responses to the survey are required?

Narratiive technology recognises the demographic profile of visitors to any tagged site if they have previously filled in the standard survey, even if they filled it out on a different website. This allows Narratiive to report demographics for the largest sample size possible.

It is not necessary for all website visitors to fill in the survey.  A statistically representative group, typically 150+ respondents, is sufficient.

How do I preview the Narratiive surveys?

After implementing the tracking tag on your site, you can append the following "query string" to the end of any tagged page on your site:

?_em_force_survey=1

e.g. https://www.narratiive.com/home?_em_force_survey=1

Where I can see the demographics of my site and other sites?

Demographics of all tagged sites are viewable in the Narratiive dashboard.

What is the survey’s rate or views per unique visitor limit?

By default, the survey invitation is shown to every 5th visitor to a tagged site.

When does the visitor see the survey?

We present a survey invitation once a visitor has visited at least 2 pages, allowing them to get more engaged in their session. This ensures a higher response rate.

How many times does a visitor get asked to participate in a survey?

If a visitor completes a survey, they will not be asked to fill in the survey again for at least another 30 days.

What if a visitor want to opt-out from surveys to be served?

If a visitor clicks "No Thanks" to the survey, the invite box closes and the survey will not be displayed. While they are using the same browser, and assuming they don't clear their cookies, they will not be asked again for at least another 30 days.

If the visitor closes the survey in the middle of running surveys, there is a possibility the visitor may get invited again in future.

Can I have my own set of custom questions in standard surveys?

Subject to agreement with Narratiive, clients may purchase a package allowing questions of their own choice. These questions run by default after the master survey questions.

Does Narratiive support all languages in market?

We support primary languages in all our markets.
